Every year thousands of people will walk towards Manaoag, Pangasinan for the annual pilgrimage. These people will walk very early in the morning and walk many miles under the blistering summer heat just to reach their destination. They walk in groups that would somehow ease their weariness.
Every year we would see them walk and just pass by. But last year we’ve had enough of watching them pass by, we did something different. PASA LOVE was still in the early stages at that time and we simply grab any opportunity that would allow us to serve. It was Jonathan, one of the pastors in the church who suggested that we serve coffee and cold drinks.
We’re doing it again this year only this time bigger. We’re going to cook 4 large pots of arrozcaldo that could serve 800 people. There would still be the brewed coffee. The cold water will always be there since these pilgrims would need to refill their water containers. We’re going to set up some tables and chairs should they want to sit and rest for a moment. And we would open our rest rooms for them.
Our ad for this PASA LOVE.
Matthew 5:46-47, “If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?”
If we love the same people how can that be love? When faced with people who are different from us whether in terms of faith or politics, we’ll choose to love. After all, Jesus loved unconditionally. PASA LOVE.
Loving withOUT BIAS or BOUNDARIES.

The seventh album of Hillsong Church (live praise and worship series) was entitled Touching Heaven Changing Earth. My personal favorites are The Potters Hand, Holy Spirit Rain Down and My Greatest Love Is You. There is something in the album that changes the earth, it’s Heaven and specifically, Touching Heaven. For people like us who believe in heaven, we can say boldly that it’s not just a concept of place or state of being. It’s home.
Touching heaven changes the earth because of its Perfect feature. All in there is ZERO: pain, hardship, illness, violence and the likes. Instead, there is FULLNESS: peace, love, joy and comfort. Bringing heaven directly to earth is the mission of Jesus which was later on entrusted to His apostles and eventually fruiting out disciples and disciple-making bodies through the power of the Holy Spirit. It wasn’t simple for them because following our Lord is not a popular decision in fact it’s the most debated.
Do you still remember Blessing the Children of Garbage Collectors? It was successful because you let them experienced what heaven is all about.
Do you also remember The Outpouring of Blessings? The blessings were overwhelming because you made it possible. Yes, you! Readers and bloggers who made way and created great impact to their lives.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10

My father left us when I was in first year college. Like any other father he was never a perfect father to us. He left us with pains and hardships. He had another three families. We have other siblings. My father played important role on my twenty-six years of existence and beyond. In spite of his imperfections he has loved us the best way a father knows.
I (my family) have no father right now but I/we have a heavenly Father and that defines it all.
Try to imagine celebrating the first Christmas without a father whose birth date is Christmas Day.

Maligayang Pasko Boss Lio!
